Walkers present :A.Dulson ,M.Sadler,D.Chambers,A.Walton

Arriving at Whitchurch at 1144 a road walk took us past the JB Joyce  old clock factory and on  to a suspension bridge  over the railway .

The next part of walk was across fields of sweet corn which the farmer had left tracks so the footpath could pass easily .

Fields and lanes  after a slight navigational mistake which was soon rectified took us to our lunch stop on a bench at Ash Magna .

Then more sweetcorn fields and woodland paths took us to Brown moss with it's  pools and nature reserve

A lane then  took us  back into Whitchurch passing some very old buildings .

Refreshment was taken in the crafty dragon and another pub

we walked straight  into a wake but was quickly moved into another section by the landlady.Dave then said it's busier in here than the other pub not realising it was a wake then he spent the rest of the time eyeing up the buffet .

We got the 1642 train back to Crewe for our trains back to new st
