We met at Milton Keynes for the 1030 train to Tring in bright sunshine which was with us throughout the walk
We followed woodland paths through Albury nowers with good views and red kites flying over head .
We left the woodland to join paths crossing a railway bridge before reaching the Grand Union canal .
We followed this all the way to outskirts of Cheddington
Dave chambers was in his element passing many locks and plenty of canal barges about and we took lunch on a bench positioned between the canal.and Marsworth reservoir .
On arriving in Cheddington after a short road walk from the canal we sat in the beer garden in great weather at the old swan
There was a mile walk from the old swan to the station
We're we caught train back to Milton Keynes for our trains home
A short but enjoyable walk and the weather made it
A.Dulson
