Tuesday 15th October 2024

Walkers as above with out R.Steele as returned home feeling unwell and Norah and Brenda who missed the bus

Today's walk was a 2  tier walk.with 8  of us catching the 0905 bus to Rhossili.

And walking up the Rhossili  downs to the trig point with unfortunately  not great views due to mist and  then descending to Hillsend .

From there we walked across marshland and sandunes to the beach at Spaniards rock.

After having lunch on the beach we started our 3 mile beach walk back to Rhosilli  unfortunately  it was raining at this point

The 2nd group caught the 1020 bus to Rhosilli and did a flater and shorter walk along the coastal.path to Hillsend and returned along the beach just behind the first group

The sodden groups managed a drink in the worms head pub before the 1435  bus back to Swansea

WEDNESDAY 16th October 2024

Bynea  to Llanelli 6.5 miles

A train journey to Bynea without Mark who missed it but wasn't far behind on another train and bus .

A road walk took us over a suspension  bridge on to the coastal path alongside the Loughor estuary with its bird life .

This was our route all way to Llanelli with the rain starting after a couple of miles and getting heavier and heavier as we proceeded although despite this it was very warm and Paul.managed to get  bitten by a mosquito and a rather lump appeared on his head

Mark eventually  caught up.with us and the soaked group.had refreshments in Llanelli before train back

The walk was suppose be all way to.Burry port 11miles but the weather made the decision for us to end it at Llanelli.

Thursday 17th October

We all returned home except Hugh. Roz who had a extra  day

Another bad journey was expected due to flooding but turned out OK for most except for me who struggled to get to church Stretton to get my car but worked out eventually

Not bad few days in area the club  not walked before despite the weather
