This election day walk started with a short road walk through Shifnal before crossing fields and the odd lane to Kemberton.

After a short drinks break on this warmish day we followed more fields including electric fences

with all the walkers still in one piece we proceeded to a lane then crossed the busy A449 before a small woodland walk and lane too us to some steep steps which we ascended into coal port .

After having a lunch stop we carried on passing some of Ironbridge museums in coal port and after crossing the river Severn to Jackfield and eventually down the old railway line in to ironbridge .

The toll house was been used as a polling station must been one of the oldest and smallest stations in the country

After crossing the bridge some decide to catch the 325 bus back to go to vote and others stayed for refreshments

All arriving safely at Telford and trains back all ran ok

a good day with good weather

A.Dulson
