Well the weather forecast was atrocious for today's walk. Upon arrival at Llwyngwril we popped in to the Station house for sausage baps and a mug of tea.  We left at 12 ready for the steep climb out of the village. But hold on, after a group discussion we made the sensible decision and decided to abort the high walk and follow the Welsh coastal path to Fairbourne. Plus my mountain leader badge had expired 3 days previous 🤣🤣. A pleasant walk still with a good climb out of the village. Unfortunately no views at all. We took a little diversion to see the remains of the old quarry above Fairbourne ( blue lagoon) before dropping into the Village for a few pints and to see the passing Fairbourne railway service with one of our Train Managers Alex Wright at the helm.  It was then the 15.03 back to Llwyngwril for a cheese board and copious amounts of wine. Two hours here before Myself, Nicola and Phil caught the  17.12 home to Brum and Mr Walton the 17.40 to Pwllheli.

A great day....
