On arriving at Flint a short road walk took us to the entrance of Flint castle ,a,climb up one of the remaining towers gave us a good views over to Wirral .
We then joined the coastal path which we followed to Greenfield dock passing various other docks/inlets and even a natterjack frog reserve ,we also found a nice spot for lunch .
We left the coastal path at Greenfield dock for a short road walk to the entrance of Greenfield valley heritage park which we followed a steep road past a ruined Abbey and some old mills and mill ponds before descending to a road to pass the impressive catholic shrine/ well of St Winefride then some steps took us up to Holywell for refreshments.
The journey back was a bus to flint which Derby Dave unset the bus driver by trying to use his free bus pass in Wales .
On arriving back at flint there was a delayed train to take us to Chester where a quick rush over the stairs we managed to make the Crewe train and then at Crewe we had a 2 minute connection for the New st service we made it so a good day for connections and it made for a earlier arrival home .
A good day with decent weather and area the club not walked before.
