We started the walk from Colwall station over steep fields and a rather overgrown path not good for those in shorts .

Then we proceed up on to the ridge of black hill and followed this before the group split with Phil and Mac taking the lower route and rest of us taking the higher route .

We all met at Sally's cafe below British camp for refreshments before carrying on up to skirt British camp with great views .

The descent to Colwall was via woodland tracks and meadows and a road walk from Colwall green to the station

But we did manage to grab refreshments at the Colwall park hotel before our 1607 train to our various destinations

Good day with great views hopefully enjoyed by all

A.Dulson
